My Story
Tānsi! My name is Alana Obey, and I am a proud Nehiyaw Iskwew from Treaty 4 Territory. I’m the founder of Obey Coaching, a culturally grounded life coaching service created to support Indigenous youth, families, and communities in reclaiming their power, healing their stories, finding purpose and stepping into their power!
My own path has not been easy—I am a survivor of both the foster care system, and residential school. For many years, I carried wounds I didn’t know how to name. But through culture, connection, and personal growth, I found my way home to myself. Now, I use everything I’ve learned—through experience, training, shared healing modalities and ceremony—to walk beside others on their healing journeys.
At Obey Coaching, we believe in:
-
Empowering youth with tools to build confidence, set boundaries, and speak their truth
-
Honoring Indigenous knowledge while blending modern coaching strategies
-
Creating safe spaces for healing, storytelling, and emotional wellness
-
Breaking cycles of trauma with love, strength, and accountability
Whether it’s through one-on-one coaching, group sessions, cultural affirmations, or school workshops, I’m here to help our youth remember who they are—and who they were always meant to be.
This is more than coaching. This is reclamation. This is healing. This is Obey Coaching.
